"2007 Folkstyle Nationals
results are NOT RIGHT!!!!"
To whom this may concern:
My son recently competed in the Nationals, and when I
went into the 2007 Nationals results to see his name,
it was not there!!! He placed 6th and IS FROM UTAH!!
So please tell me why his name is not in the results.
I know of another boy that took 2nd and is from
Richfield and also was not listed. Why is it that only
a chosen few get their name listed. If you ask me and
others, that isn't very fair. These boys go out there
and wrestle their heart out, they deserve to have
their names in the results, whether they are ranked or
not, they deserve to be on there!!!!
Dakota Olsen-12 & Under, 76lbs, from Hurricane, Utah,
6th place
Chantz Ogden-10 & Under, 76lbs, from Richfield Utah,
2nd place
PLEASE PUT THEIR NAMES ON THE RESULTS BECAUSE THEY
DESERVE IT!!!!!!!!!

The computer system had problems at that
tournament. That’s why so many of the kids did not have
their teams listed with their names on the brackets. (It
listed numbers, rather than team names, as you should
recall.) I am all about recognizing the kids for their
accomplishments, or I wouldn’t have spent those hours
retyping the results to post online. Where I could, I
checked the names against my other tournament results,
trying to verify which wrestlers were, indeed, from Utah,
when the team was not listed. As a result, I found at
least 50 that I could not have identified otherwise.
It took hours to do that. And I am more than happy to do
it, because that is the purpose in having this site, and I
am 100% behind these kids. That said, I am the last person
you want to be accusing of not recognizing these kids for
their accomplishments. I recognize them locally and
promote them nationally. If you want to yell at someone,
yell about the computer system not working properly.
As far as the two you pointed out, I will certainly add
their names to the results for placing. Because, just as
you said, they fought hard for those accomplishments, and
deserve their moment in the sun.

Thank you for working to correct this problem, but I can
assure you that I was not "yelling" at you. A few parents
had called me and brought this to my attention, and I
responded. One of the wrestlers that I had listed was
devastated to discover that his name was not listed. I
will let him know that it is being corrected.
