"Are You Posting Tournament
Results This Year?"
Are you going to be posting any tournament results for
2007-08?
I appreciate your efforts to get the information
available, I know how hard it is to get the
information from the specific schools. It seems to me
that information is harder to find nowadays than it
was when my oldest son was wrestling from 1999–2002.
It doesn’t appear that the results get published in
the newspapers (at least the Web editions) whereas,
back then, they were on the Web. Also, it seems that
there are fewer sites providing information, yours
seems to be the last of the survivors. What has
happened to the Utah Wrestling Coaches Association, or
the Utah Amateur Wrestling Association, or Andy
Unsicker’s site? I have been somewhat removed from the
wrestling scene (two girls after my oldest son, will
do that do you), but now I have two sons coming up and
thus my renewed interest. I live in southern Utah, so
any information that I can provide, I will do so.

Yes. Once I receive the information, I
will be posting results. Requests from people like
yourself helps me twist their arms a little bit.
UWCA has handed that over to
UtahWrestling.org (they’re actually the ones who asked me
to start doing this). UAWA handles one or two specific
events each year now, and that’s about it. Andy Unsicker
stopped maintaining his site. I’m not sure why on that
one, because he’s still very involved in Utah wrestling.
And I appreciate that about sending me
results. If you send me dual results, I’ll post them. If
you send me tournament results, I’ll post them. Being able
to maintain this site is really thanks to people like you
who are willing to send me results.
