"Wrestling Record Broken?"
I have read about the record being broken
for the number of wins in a career this season. I was
recently looking back in some Wrestling USA magazines and
noticed that Tyler Teeples of Millard and Bryant Anderson
of Wayne both had more than 141 wins, in fact Teeples had
a career record of 171-9 with 121 falls according to the
May 30,2002, issue. If I can find a better record in just
two years back how many more could there be if someone
went back say ten years.I guess my question is how can
this be considered a record if other athletes have better
records by far or is it just selective people who can hold
a record?

I guess you have a better pulse on the
wrestling community than others. The information that you
have must not have ever been reported to the Utah High
School Athletic Association. Because, to make an
irresponsible remark as you have about only a select few
is totally uncalled for. But what else can we
expect?
By the way, I followed these two wrestlers that you have
mentioned and they where both great athletes. I suppose
that if someone would of contacted the UHSSA then it would
of been put in the record books but I guess now you can
say whatever you want. You probably could go back as far
as you want to and say anything.

That is a very good question. I will do
some research. Thank you for
taking the time to ask the question.
