Swensen seeks to become the 11th four-time state champion
this year. Swensen is the real deal. He's powerful and
skilled. It's not often that you can cite a freshman state
champion, even more rare when it was done outside the
bottom two weight classes. He continued to be a dominant
force in the 125-pound weight class, regardless of the
state division he competed against, as illustrated by his
second State Championship, then again in the 130-pound
class, where he won his third State Championship. His
National Championships date back to 1999, including a USA
Wrestling Triple Crown in 2001.
Swensen is explosive. When he executes, its with 100%
commitment. There is no halfway with him. That confidence
comes with all that mat time and knowing that hes making
a good decision. Throw in his strength and speed, along
with being an amazing technician, Swensen is a choice
candidate for the best college wrestling programs in the
country.
