Big 12 Wrestling Seeds and Brackets Announced

IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced the 2024 Championship seeding and brackets ahead of this weekend's Championship in Tulsa, Okla. The Wolverines were led by No. 14 Evan Bockman, who earned the No. 4 seed, and 141-pounder Haiden Drury was awarded the No. 7 seed.

Bockman was the only Wolverine to get a first-round bye and will wrestle his first match in the quarterfinals during the Saturday morning session. He will face the winner of California Baptist's Eli Sheeren or No. 21 in the country and No. 5 seeded Wyatt Voelker of UNI. He picked up wins over both potential foes in the regular season with a 4-2 decision over Voelker and a 17-2 tech fall over Sheeren to close out the regular season.

The seventh-seeded Drury will wrestle North Dakota State's No. 31 Gavin Drexler in the first round. He beat Drexler 8-7 in Orem back in early February as part of his eight-match winning streak. His potential second-round matchup will be an unfamiliar foe in either Oklahoma's Kaden Smith or No. 2 seeded Tagen Jamison from Oklahoma State, who is currently No. 8 in the national rankings.
